Turkey is also making preparations along the Syrian border and these two have been at it since the time of the Czars and Ottoman Empire. The UAE and Saudis are not happy with the way the Syrian battle is going and could well take sides to start a full on Sunni/Shia battle. I have said for a long time that it would happen while Obama is still in the White House because he is sympathetic to Muslim causes and seen as weak.

Latest reports of Saudi Arabia massing 350,000 troops in the north of the country along with tanks and aircraft, while continuing to bomb Iranian sponsored insurgents in Yemen make it appear that a full on Sunni/Shiite war is building. Both Turkey and the Saudis support the Syrian rebels whereas Russia and Iran support the incumbent Assad regime. Reports are that Israel has also conducted bombing raids into Syria but with Russian anti-aircraft missiles based in the region this could only be done safely with Russian approval. Putin is quite friendly toward the Jewish state not only because of the large number of former Soviet citizens who have moved there but because one of his early mentors was a Jewish neighbour.

The Kremlin have announced that China are to send 5,000 of its most elite military forces into the Levant War Zone to help Russia in the fight against ISIS, which has left the Obama administration and the Pentagon “horrified”. The “Siberian Tiger” Special Forces and “Night Tiger” Special Forces Units were given authorization to be deployed by China’s People’s Congress (NPC) on Sunday, after China passed its first anti-terrorism law allowing their army to take part in anti-terror missions abroad.
Most critical to China in entering this war, this report continues, is the “grave” national security threat it faces from both the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) and Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT)—and as, perhaps, best described by the noted award winning American military-intelligence journalist Seymour M. Hersh who in his latest article warned of this threat by stating: “China, an ally of [Syrian leader] Assad has committed more than $30 billion to postwar reconstruction in Syria. China, too, is worried about the Islamic State. China regards the Syrian crisis from three perspectives: international law and legitimacy; global strategic positioning; and the activities of jihadist Uighurs, from Xinjiang province in China’s far west.
Xinjiang borders eight nations – Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India – and, in China’s view, serves as a funnel for terrorism around the world and within China. Many Uighur fighters now in Syria are known to be members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement—an often violent separatist organization that seeks to establish an Islamist Uighur state in Xinjiang. The fact that they have been aided by Turkish intelligence to move from China into Syria through Turkey has caused a tremendous amount of tension between the Chinese and Turkish intelligence and China is concerned that the Turkish role of supporting the Uighur

It probably is, but the Russians have moved quickly and appear to have ISIS on the run and Assad secured before the Turks or the Saudis could react. In another clever move the Russians have secured a deal that is likely to Chinese troops join the Russians, the report said that China was prepared to commit 5,000 troops and had passed the necessary legislation to permit the action.

Actually, non-Russian sources tell us that Russia attacks only those rebels who attack Assad's forces. ISIS does not attack Assad's forces, so Russia has not bombed ISIS much at all. It's the U.S. led forces who have bombed ISIS, but not enough to do more than put ISIS on its back heel, because the western forces are under strict rules of engagement to avoid civilian casualties.

ISIS is now spreading well in Libya, and Putin has warned Turkey and the Saudis that if they invade Syria he is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons; I hope they don't think he's bluffing because I think he would see it as a macho move.

In the most recent report Putin has ceased delivering missiles to Iran because they have been turning up in the hands of Hezbollah in Lebanon in contravention of the arms sales agreement. Russia was first alerted to this violation by Israeli intelligence and the fact was verified by Russian pilots who detected signals from the missile installation.
